There have been a lot of birthdays this year. Last weekend we went to Nara Park to celebrate Matthew’s birthday, a friend from former day care. It was a stellar day:
Isaac loves Amy, and asked about her whereabouts the whole time we were there.
Today we had a nice little party for Isaac’s second birthday, which happens officially on July 2. Aine, Andy, and Millie came over along with their parents, and everyone played and ate and generally had a good time. The words keep on coming. Isaac is up to using two and three word phrases, although he’s still repeating words more than using them spontaneously. Still, he’s getting more fun to talk to even though our conversations are fairly banal.
Isaac is tacking on words daily it seems. His most used word is “uh oh”, which I get him to demonstrate nicely at the very end. In the meantime he shows off his knowledge of the human face.
Last weekend Kate and Ella came over for a visit. Ella is three months old, so Isaac got a taste of what his world is going to be like when Baby J2 arrives. He wasn’t so much for it.
