Part of the Davies Clan Comes to Visit

Last week while I was out at a conference in Seattle, Blossom’s parents Jon and Sarah and her older sister Leah came out to stay with her. Leah came in on Saturday before I left (August 11), so we all got to spend a nice evening making dinner and playing with Isaac. Leah scooped him right up and started helping out like she’s been here since the first day.

Blossom’s parents arrived on Monday. Everyone spent the week helping catch us up on household chores, cleaning, minor repairs, dog bathing and what not. A few classic New England day trips were made out to Walden Pond, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and the Old North Bridge. Of course a little shopping was done by the ladies. And all the while much baby care was done. Leah left on Friday, and then Blossom and I took her folks out to dinner on their last night.IMG_0741

A lovely time was had by all, and we really appreciate their coming out to give Blossom some support. I’m excited to have all these people helping out, because in the future when Isaac sasses us we can try and make him feel guilty by reminding him about all the work everyone did to keep him alive.
