Twice now the boy has managed to flip himself completely over from his back to his stomach. On his thirteenth day of life Blossom had him on the changing table. His normal changing table behavior is full on squirm-mode (which makes putting a diaper on him at 4 in the morning an exercise in frustration). You really have to keep your hands on him at all times. So Blossom let go to slather on some Purell and he gave a mighty squirm, turned himself 90 degrees and flipped onto his belly. Scaring the crap out of Blossom.
Then this morning Blossom had him on the floor on a towel while she was re-filling a bottle, and she heard a squealing baby-pig noise and he was on his belly again. What kind of freak baby do we have here? I thought baby’s couldn’t turn over until 3 months-ish. Maybe he’s like some kind of dolphin baby, built to flex his whole spine powerfully enough to propel himself forward at 5 knots. Regardless, we are going to have keep a close watch on him.

Yea Isaac the super turning dolphin baby!
Our monkey baby is waiting to come out and play. Hopefully Baby J will have some words of wisdom to share about turning over and stuff.
Nice blankie.
Aye laddie I be not surprised, tis no Dolphin you have but a Scottish warrior. His Jamieson genes are speaking, maybe another William Wallace. He has the legs for a kilt…..
‘Tis their job…for once in the nest they will try to “cut and run”
