Week 37! And man have we been busy. My goal was to get everything done that needed doing a month before b-day, so that I could really concentrate on being stressed as we near the end. And I’m happy to say Mission Accomplished! The baby’s room is done enough, we have all the necessary supplies, car seats are installed, stroller is procured, clothing is laundered, sleep is minimized. Insert Baby J. into Slot B.
A while back some of Blossom’s work and life friends pulled a shower together for her that she very much enjoyed. We got a ton of nice stuff, all presented in lovely decorative bags. The centerpiece was a massive diaper layer cake stuffed with small goodies.
What else have we done? We went to breast feeding class, where I got to hold a giant plastic baby in the 4 classic feeding positions. So that was helpful. I had a little pre-birthday dinner and drinks action with some friends that was very enjoyable. At this point we are just kicking back waiting for the inevitable.
