Sandpipers fufill the improbable dream

Jan 2, 2005. The Des Moines Sandpipers claim victory for the first time in Aardvark Bill’s Spectacular Two-Dimensional League, beating the Fudgelville Packers 78–74 in the championship game. This was a pretty tasty victory, because I have been playing the damn fantasy football for 7(?) years now and have been consistently whupped. So I get to be top dog for a year, and presumably will gain possession of the coveted trophy. All hail the mighty Sandpipers!
