Summer Vacation ‘04

Today is the last day of my week long summer vacation. I slugged around the house, hung some interior doors, and cleaned up this website. Nice and relaxing. My favorite vacations are the ones where you get to be in your own environment without the stress of everyday living. Very relaxing.

My mom came out from Santa Rosa for the first part of the week to visit. Each day we spent the morning reading, drinking coffee, and chatting. Afternoons we adventured. Day one we took in Spiderman 2 — I am a sucker for those superhero movies. This one was particularly well done. Day two we went and toured historic Concord, Massachusetts. We went to the Old North Bridge and walked around the grounds, and then went to the Concord museum. Day three we shopped around looking at home furnishings. I did all the cooking and man did we eat fine. The last night she was here we went down to the local Indian restaurant and feasted. Deliciousness!

So now the special lady and I have to get back into the drudgery of working life. I feel moderately refreshed, and should not be hard pressed to attack my projects with my cynical gusto.
