A passage from George Orwell’s 1984:
Winston thought for a moment, then pulled the speakwrite toward him and began dictating in Big Brother’s familiar style: a style at once military and pedantic, and, because of a trick of asking questions and then promptly answering them (”What lessons do we learn from this fact, comrades? The lessons—which is also one of the fundamental principles of Ingsoc—that,” etc., etc.), easy to imitate.
A random quote picked off the web from Donald Rumsfeld:
“Have we located bin Laden in a way that allowed us to do anything about it? No. Are we continuing the effort? You bet. Do we expect to get him? Yes.”
Conclusion via the transitive property: Rumsfeld worships at the alter of English Socialism and works for Big Brother as a loyal member of the inner party. You just can’t argue with principles of logic.
